I will need a fan speed reducer for CPU fan. Also I took out the 80 mm from the rear and installed a 90 mm that I had laying around. I took out the 120 mm fan from the front of the case. SATA Data cable barely fit under hard drive bay with the 24 pin in the way. Front USB and Card reader were a pain to plug in. Also front IO is against the bottom of the case. You would be better off with a 2 1/2 inch hard drive in this case. Hardest 2 hour of my life to deal with a 3 1/2 inch hard drive in this case. I had to bend out the tabs on the hard drive bay, and reinstall the card reader. It will also work with Windows 10 if I want it to. one of my shitty HP opticle drives in the closet. This is just to run old software (Games) that don't run or don't run correctly on Windows 7 and above. I have many Windows 10 and Windows 7 PC's to do that. For the most part, XP is a nightmare now. You can always yank the RJ45 cable out if you're that paranoid.Īlso, you can apply a reg hack to get updates on XP til 2019. You'll have the guarantee that the game runs as it was intended with maximized compatibility. It's not like it's an open door that's actively exploited by the entire internet. Also connecting XP to the internet won't cause the world to end, just don't do banking and whatnot on it. There are entire communities doing this, dedicating an older system to older applications and there's nothing wrong with that. I hope you won't connect that XP machine to the Interwebs.įor most of the Games that "don't run under Windows 10" it is because it only has 32bit drivers. Have you thought about other alternatives like Linux + Wine?
